I see private lessons and group classes on your website. What does that mean?

We get this question a lot. In our private lessons, you'll be working with one of our instructors one-on-one (or as a couple with an instructor, if you're dancing with someone else). Private lessons are a great way to further your own knowledge, work on technical skills, and get all of your questions answered.
Group classes are structured a bit differently, with either one instructor or a pair teaching anywhere from five to thirty or more people. This usually involves the group learning a specific routine or set of steps in a certain dance. For example, on Saturday nights Paul and Julianne
will teach a routine in a different dance style each week.
'Question: I can work one on one in a private lesson. Does that mean I need to bring a partner for a group class?' Nope! If it's just you, bring yourself! Most of our group classes will rotate partners, giving you a chance to dance with multiple different people. Even if you do bring a partner, we highly encourage rotating with the group. Everyone dances a little bit differently, so overall you grow as a more well-rounded dancer. It can be scary at first, but most classes are also full of beginners, and even experienced dancers started out as newbies. Come give it a shot!
Private lessons are great for learning more steps and the technical aspects of the dances. Group classes are great for applying what you know and meeting new people. Not sure which you want to try? Do both! That's the best way to learn!
Lets get you out on the floor!
