You don’t need to have a partner to dance, we have wonderful instructors who will dance with you! On social dance evenings and in group classes many people swap dance partners, and that’s not only fun, but a great way to improve your dance skills. Your dance journey is your own, and we will always make sure you have someone to dance with!

That's what we're here for! This may be a bit of a boast, but we haven’t met anybody who we could not teach to dance! There are no limitations, we have worked with people with a wide range of physical abilities and experiences. If you don’t feel ready yet for group classes, in Private lessons you can learn at your own pace, and we adjust our teaching style to whatever works best for you.

Ballroom dance shoes are not essential, but it’s a good idea to avoid sandals or crocs that could slip off while dancing. We have a DanceVision sprung wooden floor, so please avoid sharp stilettos or shoes with nails on the bottom! However, a good pair of dance shoes does make it all much easier, and we have options available here at the studio!

We do not have a dress code at DanceWise - we realize our students have full lives and are happy for you to show up as you are. The most important thing is that clothes are comfortable and that you can move freely. We do have some fabulous events like our social dance evenings, tea dances, and themed holiday parties where dancers can come dressed to impress in as much costume and fanfare as they like!

The cost for group lessons and social dance events are listed on our calendar and is usually $15 per person. New students are eligible for the 2-lesson introductory special for $99 for a private lesson with Julianne or Paul. Regular private lessons can be purchased by the hour, or in package plans that offer discounted rates. We are committed to never pressuring a sale or requiring purchases of large lesson packages. In the end, however much you dance is up to you!

We teach the four ballroom dance styles, which includes American Smooth (Waltz, Tango), American Rhythm (East Coast Swing, Bolero), International Standard (Foxtrot, Quickstep), and International Latin (Cha Cha, Jive). For these we offer lessons geared both towards competition and social dancing. In addition, we offer both one-on-one and group lessons for the more casual and community dances (Salsa, Country Swing, Merengue, Hustle, etc). Check out what we have going on this month on our Calendar!

Absolutely! We love to train our students to perform in competitions and showcases. Every year we have a large on-stage showcase, in addition to 6+ competitions, both locally here in the valley and throughout the United States, and multiple in-studio showcases!
